Glenn College, Seoyeong University, and Cofer College Sign MOU to Expand International Education Cooperation in Online TESOL and Professional Programs

Glenn College, based in Canada, announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for international education cooperation with Seoyeong University (Dongshin University) and Cofer College in Vietnam on March 6, 2025. This agreement is expected to be a significant step towards strengthening academic exchange among the three institutions and providing students with more global education opportunities.

Through this agreement, Glenn College, Seoyeong University, and Cofer College plan to undertake the following cooperation items:

Operation of student training and practical programs

Support for credit recognition and employment linkage

Academic information exchange

Enhanced educational and administrative support to help Vietnamese and international students prepare for studying abroad in Korea.

This agreement focuses on providing students with an international educational environment and helping them gain competitiveness in the global market.

The signing of this agreement is also significant because it was facilitated by the GC Education Center (Global On Education) Vietnam Direct Branch, which officially opened in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on February 27, 2025. The GC Education Center in Vietnam is operated directly by Glenn College. It provides support for various professional education programs such as online TESOL certification (English teacher certification), translation/interpretation, Hospitality, and Digital Marketing. Through this new agreement, it will also support Korean language programs to expand support for students wishing to study abroad in Korea and Canada. The Korean language education program is also expected to be supported in conjunction with the Korea International Translation and Interpretation Association (GITA).

A representative from Glenn College stated that they will actively support students from Korea, Canada, and Vietnam to gain competitiveness in a global educational environment through this MOU. They also added that they will activate student exchange programs and provide practical global employment opportunities through cooperation with Dongshin University (mentioned as Seoyeong University elsewhere, possibly a typo in source) and Cofer College.

A representative from Cofer College in Vietnam expressed great anticipation for the opportunity to integrate the excellent education systems of Korea and Canada through this agreement. Seoyeong University also promised continuous cooperation, stating that this agreement will be an important opportunity to provide students with diverse overseas experiences.

This agreement is expected to strengthen global education cooperation among the three institutions and provide students with more systematic and practical educational opportunities. It will be an important milestone in the expansion of Glenn College’s global education network and is expected to play a more significant role in the Southeast Asian and global education markets in the future
